Join David Augustyniak, President of the New Mexico Mycological Society, and Chris Kerns for this free workshop focused on cultivating mushrooms.

David and Chris will share their knowledge in a thorough, step-by-step explanation of mushroom-growing from both spores and existing specimens known as tissue cultures. This presentation covers both low-tech “kitchen cultivation” methods and high-tech methods for the cultivation enthusiast, which require a bit more equipment.

Discover the many mushroom species that can be found and foraged in New Mexico.

Don’t forget a pen and paper to take notes as you might find your new passion. Participants will take home a bag of oyster mushroom spawn from our hands on part of the workshop.

We look forward to integrate, propagate, and myciliate, all you new mycophiles into the MYCO—MMUNITY.

This is a free workshops, but RSVP’s are required – shannon@railyardpark.org

We will meet at the Railyard Park Community Room (701 Callejon) located directly behind SITE Santa Fe
