As a grassroots organization working in partnership with the City of Santa Fe, the Railyard Stewards strive to give all Santa Feans a sense of ownership in and connection to our city’s newest park and plaza. But we can’t do it alone.
The Railyard Stewards need your financial support to keep the Railyard Park + Plaza green and growing.
OUR ACCOMPLISHMENTS
In 2009, The Railyard Stewards:
- Provided over 1,300 hands-on volunteer hours in the Railyard Park + Plaza
- Established community food gardens
- Started an “outdoor classroom program” with Alvord Elementary School and other educational groups
- Advocated for safety in the Railyard Park
- Initiated a “Garden in the Park” workshop series
- Co-sponsored Earth Day 2009, a Fall Harvest Festival and other community events
- Formed a diverse community-based board of directors
- Participated in the start of “the Art in the Park” policy committee
- Raised “seed” funds from business and individual donors who understand and believe in our mission
- And more!
