As a local organization working in partnership with the City of Santa Fe, the Railyard Stewards strive to give all Santa Feans a sense of ownership in and connection to our city’s newest park and plaza. But we can’t do it alone.

OUR ACCOMPLISHMENTS
In 2010, The Railyard Stewards:
- Grew our “outdoor classroom program” to provide environmental education programs for schools and youth
- Provided over 2600 hands-on volunteer hours in the Railyard Park + Plaza
- Cared for over 7,000 plants in the Railyard Park
- Worked with over 750 community volunteers in the Railyard Park + Plaza
- Established community food gardens
- Started an urban watershed program with a VISTA volunteer
- Continued our “Garden in the Park” workshop series for agricultural and horticultural education
- Spearheaded the “Art in the Park” policy committee for Railyard temporary art
- Raised “seed” funds from business and individual donors who understand and believe in our mission
